The title says it all...
Its been nearly a year since I last left a post on here. You could say I've been slacking, which truely I have been but then I'd boil it down really to coping with my new baby :) Sebastian Giorgio Bighi was born on 08.09.10. Folks came down from Malaysia and Shamini and Jean from London and Marseilles. Before that, we had quite a few visitors... Monika from London; Rima and Jon from London and Emil's bro, Christian from the States, after his cruise ship job came to an end. 2010 ended well as we celebrated a quiet New Years eve at father in-law's with the family.
To cut the long story short.... we moved from Mauritius to South Africa at the end of November 2010. Stayed in father in-law's place for three months, went travelling to Kwazulu natal area, Durban, Uhmlanga etc and went to Emil's family holiday home in Keimouth, which is near East London. Not to forget, Sebastian and myself went for a two week break to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Then finally moved to a small mining town called Kathu in the Northern Cape in South Africa. Emil got a job here.
After being here in Kathu for a week, something tragic happened to my Babee.
" My babee was murdered by 2 Staffys (neighbours dogs down the road). We asked them if they had seen Babee last wednesday but they said no, even they're workers said he ran past (obviously to divert us and put us off). They lied to us point blank. We have been hunting high and low for babee everywhere you could imagine. During the past few days, someone was taking down our posters in the housing complex. But we kept putting it back on. Then after fasting and praying the whole of yesterday, we got a call from another neighbour who came forward and told us that Babee was in their yard last wednesday and those dogs ran in and bite his neck and he was laid there dead. They also confirmed that a car which had a couple inside who was waiting for those neighbours saw everything but they when asked by us said they saw nothing. Thinking back, we realised they had a look like they were hiding something. They told the neighbour your dogs have done this and he got his workers to put Babee in a bag and throw him away. These people who came forward didn't know who babee belonged to and are willing to be our witnesses. They had a case before where they're friend who visited them got biten by those dogs and was hospitalised. The police here in Kathu didn't do anything about it. " Something I have not quite got over yet. So sad. He will always be with me in my heart. I miss him sooo much. He should be here right now...
Rest In Peace my Babee ...
