Its the 1st of July and its about time I get up off my lazy butt to write my first post for this blog. Have signed up for this ages ago but never got round to doing anything. I'm so lazy! Gotta get into gear and start being more disciplined! After all, its not long till I will be in a routine soon with the new member joining us on September 11th :)
A little run down on the recent past... currently in Mauritius, came here with my husband in mid- December 2009, a day after our registration in London. Its now been 6 months since we've been here and 3 months left till our new baby arrives. Time flies! Unbelievable...
Anyways, my husband started work here in November 2009, whilst I was still living in London, trying to wrap up the shipping, house, flying our dog (Babee) etc. It was a long month and a half till we saw each other. Although, we were constantly in touch daily online and managed to rack up our phone bills. hehe...
We got registered on Saturday, 12/12/2009 in London, which we shared with our beloved friends. They made our day so very special. Something that we'll never forget. Especially the next day when we rushed to clear our house with the help of so many of our friends. We rushed to the airport to find ourselves caught in a standstill on the motorway and having to divert through the countryside using a tom tom. We nearly missed putting our dog on the cargo flight, let alone us on the flight (check-in desk closed) as we had to drop off the hired car which ended up a mission, leaving it at the airport and having a friend to go to their desk at the airport to inform them. We ran to the departure gate only to find the flight delayed by 2 hours! Gosh what a day it was!
Anywaysss... we made it to beautiful Mauritius in the end :)
Enjoyed a night's stay at the Hilton the weekend after, for my husband's christmas work function. It was amazing at that resort.
Spent Xmas at quarantine with our Babee. He got out of quarantine day before my birthday :) Very pleased. Same day we found out we were pregnant...
